Calamity Chang is a busy burlesque performer and producer based in NYC with 2 weekly shows and 2 monthly shows. She is also the co-producer of the world's only Asian Burlesque Spectacular show in NYC.

Named by The Huffington Post as one of the "20 Burlesque Stars To Know", Calamity's burlesque style is an unique blend of exotic and traditional. Inspired by her Chinese heritage, Calamity is known for her mesmerizing 1920's Old Shanghai-style acts reminiscent of a nostalgic era long gone. But this "Asian Sexsation" is also known for her powerful fetish acts in which she subverts traditional fetishized roles.

She recently toured Europe in Spring 2015 and performed at Louise de Ville's Pretty Propaganda and La Feline Burlesque (Paris), Burlesque Circus (The Netherlands), Queen Calavera (Hamburg, Germany) and Sunday Soiree (Berlin).

Within the US, Calamity performed in The Dallas Burlesque Festival, The New York Burlesque Festival, Colorado Burlesque Festival to name a few. She was chosen to perform in the "Best Debut" category at Burlesque Hall of Fame in 2012, and she headlined The Purrelesque Follies Festival in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2014.

She is the Burlesque Performer and Producer in Residence at world-renowed cocktail speakeasy bar Employees Only ("Silky Sundays") and Macao Trading Company ("Drunken Dragon Nights") both in NYC.

In her free time, she is a NY School of Burlesque instructor where she regularly teaches the class "Producing Burlesque". In addition, she is also a co-mentor (with Jonny Porkpie) in the "Driver's Seat" program where they mentor and encourage female performers to take the driver's seat and produce their own shows.

"Calamity Chang" is also the 19th lipstick shade for luxury lipstick line RED BURLESQUE.
